Firelands Aerie No 2869

District #9 Information

 

Firelands Aerie No. 2869 is a member of District No 9 along with the other Aeries listed below.  Meetings are held the second Sunday of every month at 2:00pm except in May when the meeting is moved to to the first sunday due to Mothersday falling on the second.  The location of the meetings rotates among the aeries in the district.  Below is the 2014 / 2015 meeting schedule.  You may notice that the aeries are listed by Aerie number starting with Elyria (#431) being the lowest.  All members are encouraged to attend these meetings and share your thoughts and concern.  One of the funtions the District performs at their meetings is the initiation ceremony.  Any new member may be initiated at a district meeting and in the case of Aeries like ours that do not perform the initiation ceremony locally, it is mandatory that all new members go through the Initiation ceremony at a District Meeting.  Keep in mind that you are not a member until you have gone through the installation ceremony.  Before you blow off these meetings just let me memntion that there is free food served after the meetings, which is usually pretty good.
